A simple problem ... but the solution continues to elude me.

I have a job comprising multiple images plus text on a single sheet.

How do I print multiple copies of that job using QI Ultimate?

The multiple copies option on the printer dialog doesn't work.

The printer is a Canon Pro 9500.

I'm currently having to print 36 copies and processing the job repeatedly is time consuming.

Thanks

Peter

That is the usual way to do it. I have the Canon Pro 9500 driver installed (no actual printer) and the print preview does report multiple copies as I would expect.
If your printer is networked, it's possible that feature of the driver does not work.
However, all is not lost  Grin
Save your page as a Session then Recall that Session as many times as you require multiple copies and when asked New or Append, select Append. Make sure your printer is set up in QU before you do this. QU processing will take longer of course but you will get the job done.

Peter,

This is weird... it doesn't work on your Canon not my Epsons either, BUT  I got it to  work!
Everything I tried failed. I changed the Driver to 2 copies in the Printer setup, and also in Devices and Printers which should change the default.
No good, until I tried one more place and it worked.

I actually set up a multiple image job with three sizes of prints and Floating text on one sheet so I could come as close to what you were doing as possible.

Here's what I did. Instead if changing copies to 2 in the Printer setup, I left that alone, and changed copies to 2 in the PRINT BUTTON screen.
That worked.
I made six prints... I closed QU inbetween. I changed drivers in between, just to try to spoil it.
It worked three times in a row.
See screen snap of the PRINT BUTTON SCREEN. The middle button.

I don't know why. I hate unexplained things. In the meantime this should work for you and I will see if I can ask Mike.

Thank you both very much, Terry and Fred.

Your replies were very much appreciated.

Yes, it is possible that the reason for the copies function not working is that the printer is actually on a network.

I had completely forgotten about sessions. Thanks for reminding me! I will check them out again.

"Weird", it sure is. It is on the printer button dialogue where I tried to change the number of copies. I'm glad it worked for you!

I suspect it is a Canon printer driver fault or a limitation of having a printer attached via a network.

As it turned out, printing the multiple copies took most of the day.

I will do some further experimenting to see if I can identify the problem with my setup.

Thanks again for your help.
