Title: How to replace a photo of a saved job?
Post by: EPisch on June 05, 2023, 09:25:12 AM
I hope I am not asking a question which would be answered in one of the many videos. Unfortunately, I have not found an answer.
My problem: I have created a page to print a photo. The page contains a frame as well as a title below the photo. Now I would rather replace the color photo with a black and white version.
My way to realize this is guaranteed to be way too cumbersome. I saved the job and edited the saved files manually with an editor. After changing the file name in the two files with the suffix .job and .jss I succeeded in what I wanted to achieve.
I suspect it can be done more simply. Can someone please help me.
Thanks in advance!
Ernst

Hello Ernst,
What I do is open the Queue Tab, and for a single image job, drag the new thumbnail to the queue list on top of the existing image. That then changes to the new image. I've checked it with borders and a mat, they remian in place.
You will need to save as a new job of course.

In addition to Terry's method, you can also do it visually on the live view.  Hold the Alt key while you drag a new image (thumbnail) and drop it on top of the image you want to replace on the live view.

Mike

Thanks Terry and Mike for the quick and helpful reply!
Both methods are working fine. It's much easier and faster than my method. It's also important to do this from within QImage and not to drag&drop the new image from an external program.
Many thanks!!
Have a nice day,
Ernst
