Title: how to set or reset how qimage defines borders Post by: Justan on February 05, 2014, 09:23:37 PM I am a registered owner of Qimage Deluxe.
I have Qimage version V2012.211. I have been using Qimage to print to my HP Z3100 printer and have used it in different versions for about 5 years now. It has worked great. Beginning in October 2013, I bought a HP Z3200 and have been using Qimage for that. Since I made the transition to the new printer, the printer margins have not been accurate. For instance, if I set a 1 margin on the left and a 1 margin on the right, I end up with a 1.12 margin on the left and a .88 margin on the right. In addition the top and bottom margins are usually about .25 too large. I contacted HP support and they suspect this is caused by the Qimage program. Can you please advise as to how to remedy this? Thank you for your assistance! The only help you may find here is from Ernst, the resident expert on HP Z series printers. He checks in here from time to time. So be patient. As for HP, I would call them back in the meantime, and insist that they stop blaming something that has not been altered. There are others on here with HP Z series, and they use Qimage... Sorry I am not more help, but just wanted you to know that you are not being ignored. With the help of HP support I used their raster driver instead of their postscript driver and that solved the problem. I asked for a consult from their L2 support about why their postscript driver cant produce specific border sizes. Hope to hear back in the next day or two. The printer jobs start way faster when using the raster driver. The key detail here from the perspective of Qimage support is that Qimage did not cause this issue. Justan Elk |
