Yesterday I had occasion to insert some text on image, OK no problem, but when I went to create a Web/Email size the text was not saved on the image. The same if if I converted to tiff or jpeg.

Got round problem by saving as a print file and open up the print file and then create Web/Email copy.

Is that normal? or have I missed something?

Yes, that's normal: because you can't insert text onto an image.  What you did was put floating text on a print (or a page) and those have to be printed.  The only thing in Qimage that puts text onto an image is the info stamp in the image editor.  This falls into the category of "images versus prints".  They are really two different things in Qimage and you can do different things depending on whether you choose an image operation or a print operation.

Appreciate the explanation, Mike.  I had the exact same experience as Jeff and solved it the same way.
