If I have large TIF files and I want to convert them to Jpeg as 1,100 pixels wide (other dimension will default to keep aspect ratio) and a resolution of 72 can I set these options some how? I see there is a quality setting which I have set at 60 but I don't see any other place to specify output settings. I can convert and then open in photoshop and easily set this in image size, one by one, but was hoping to eliminate that step.

Could you put them in the queue and then 'convert' to web\email which will do just that (72dpi not applicable for web images) or just above that option 'convert images' and select what ever you want from the resulting dialog.

Hi Andy.
This is batch editing. Easy for Qimage.
Many ways to do it.
1) Select all the thumbs of the ones you want to convert to JPG.
2) Right click and select Make Email/web size copies.
3) Select the pixel dimensions from a list of 600 800, 1024, 1600 etc.
4) click OK
When it asks if you want to email, say NO!  All your downsized images will be in a default sub folder called QEmail,

Method two
Put all the images into the queue.
Right click on the preview panel and again select Make email or web sized copies.
Here you can select teh same choice of sizes by button or type in a specific size. Make your 1100 pixels here.
You can also specify a specific location to store the new downsized copies.

Third way

While all the images are in the queue, Right click and select Convert Images (as Jeff said)
When the box comes up, select JPG, and then toward the upper left, put a dot in add to / replace existing filters.
Another box will open where in the lower left, you see your current resolution: change it. Make your 1100 pixels here.

I would put the compression back to 75 or 80 and try a couple and see the file size.
Set the compression / quality setting at that time to suit the file size you need.

You can use the Image Processor in Photoshop (File>Scripts>Image Processor) or record a simple action and use batch processing.
