Title: layout for double sided printing on Hahnemuhle Photorag duo content paper Post by: WimG on January 17, 2020, 08:53:22 AM I will for the first time print double sided on Hahnemuhle Photo rag duo content paper.
It is the A3 (11 x 17inch) landscape format. I want to avoid wasting to much paper by experimenting before I find the right layout and approach for the double sided printing. Is there someone who has experience with this and can give me some tips, maybe a template? Thanks Title: Re: layout for double sided printing on Hahnemuhle Photorag duo content paper Post by: MelW on January 17, 2020, 03:12:09 PM I do a lot of two sided printing and have used this paper in the past. Making sure the orientation is correct when you feed the second side of the page is a little tricky at first but easy to establish. Still, I always do a print preview - especially of that second side. Even after doing literally hundreds of these, I still have found creative way to mess things up.
I'm not sure what sort of template you might be looking for; if you perhaps give few more specifics (e.g., what you are printing, how many prints to each side, what printer etc), I might have some suggestions. And then of course it will be a different position on the other side of the paper.
Title: Re: layout for double sided printing on Hahnemuhle Photorag duo content paper Post by: MelW on January 19, 2020, 05:24:09 AM I infer from what you say that after you print, you plan to fold the paper so that you have 4 pages, each 81/2 x 11. It is not difficult to set up; tell me how many and which pages you plan to put the pictures on and I can help. I think that folding the paper neatly will prove a greater challenge than setting up QU. (unless perhaps you have purchased pre-creased paper from somewhere)

The Hahnemuhle content paper is already pre-creased (bended? folded? ...) and has holes in it for using it in a screw post binder. This means that there is an inch or so that you don't use for printing. I can't find out how to add an image to this post so I can't show what I mean. Title: Re: layout for double sided printing on Hahnemuhle Photorag duo content paper Post by: MelW on January 19, 2020, 02:36:58 PM I know what you mean. I have used that paper and other similar album pages but now I am confused by it being 11x17 as the album pages I have used were either 8x9, for and 8x8 album page, or 12x13 for a 12x12 album page. What size will your page be, disregarding the one inch area for the posts?
