I would like to have the ability to filter displayed images in a folder by file type. I keep my raw & edited images in the same folder but normally convert to jpeg in Adobe Camera Raw. I sometimes print raw images directly in Q-U but it would be helpful if, under the View menu, I could select "jpeg only" or sometimes "raw only". Can this be added in a future release, or is it already there? Thanks!

Yes it is but not quite in the way you describe.
The contents of a folder can be sorted by Type. The quickest way to do this is via the Menu Cheater Icon (4th from left).
See attached screen shot.

Thanks, Terry, but that's not what I'm looking for. I want to filter out raw photos from view most of the time, not just . Also, I'd rather not waste time building thumbnails if I won't be printing from those files. I normally do my raw processing outside of Qimage and then print from jpegs, psd,, etc. I realize that I can keep the raw files in a different folder but that's inconvenient for my workflow.

Mike - any chance of adding a filter to the view menu?

OK. Go to edit preferences, bottom of the list, "Include File Types ..", untick RAW, that will do it  Wink

Thanks, Terry! Perfect. When I do want to print directly from the raw files I'll just turn that back on. I appreciate your taking the time to reply!
