About 5 months ago, I downloaded Photoshop Beta to try some of it's new features.  When I did, QImage Ultimate was part of the "Files/Automate" listing inside the Beta version and I was able to use it for my printing needs. About a month ago, I uninstalled the PS Beta version because I no longer needed it due to the release of Photoshop 2024.

When I began using PS 2024, I noticed that QImage Ultimate was no longer in the "File/Automate" listing as it was prior to testing PS Beta. As I've read on this forum previously, I tried just reinstalling QImage Ultimate.  That didn't work.  I unistalled QImage Ultimate and reinstalled, and that didn't work either. During the install process, it said it couldn't find PS 2024.

Any suggestions on what I can do next or what I'm missing?  In order to print, I've been having to open QImage Ultimate as a standalone and do a "file/open" for the pictures I want printed.

If this has been discussed before, I apologize.  I did a search and didn't find anything or overlooked it.

Thanks for your time and help...

Running a PS beta and then installing the full PS version always orphans Photoshop registry entries because Adobe doesn't properly update the Windows registry when you install a beta and subsequently install the full version.  Essentially their PS beta masquerades as the full version so when you install the full version, it thinks it doesn't need to update the Windows registry even though it is required because the full PS is a new program.

Qimage can't find PS 2024 because Photoshop's registry entries are messed up.  The solution is always the same:

(1) Search for the PS beta and make sure it is not still installed.  If it is (you find it in Windows "Add or Remove Programs"), uninstall it.
(2) Uninstall the production PS 2024 and reinstall it.  This should clean up the orphaned PS registry entries.
(3) Run the Qimage Ultimate installer again.  Now Qimage will find PS 2024 since PS installed itself correctly this time.

The fix is actually in step (2) since uninstalling and reinstalling PS 2024 without the beta installed will force it to store new registry entries for PS 2024 since old ones (from the beta) don't exist.

Regards,
Mike

Thanks Mike....

Uninstalling and reinstalling PS was going to be my next step.  You just confirmed this is the solution.

I'm going to think real hard about "beta" programs in the future.  I was just really interested in the "generative fill" addition and wanted to test it out before the official version was released.

Anyway, as always, thanks Mike for a great product and your time and help...
