Is there a way to migrate the RAW cache, post-install?  I found 2010 references to this as a possible future feature.  If migration is not possible, I'll try uninstall/reinstall to have the option to specify during the install.

Try this!
Drop the Utilities menu down and click on Migrate Copy Application data.
That shows you how to move your "stuff" to another location.
