Not sure if this is a bug or a situation where I am not properly using QU.  But it goes something like this:

1 - Set print size to 12x18
2 - Add a bunch of pictures to the queue (in this case 55 of them) (with page size of 13x19 so one print per page)
3 - Enter the page editor
4 - Scroll though the images one page at a time - cropping, rotating as needed (landscape to portrait)
5 - While in the page editor, change the size of several of the images to 12x15 (did this to half a dozen images)
6 - Double click on one of the images (either from the page editor, or if done, from the thumbs screen) and adjust the filter for that image - save the new filter and exit the image editor.

Result - All of the images that were changed to 12x15 have reverted to the 12x18 size and lost their cropping.

Is there some reason perhaps why we might want this behavior and is there maybe a preference switch that says not to do it? This would not be the first time that I was misusing what turns out to be a useful feature of QU.

Hi mel,
I was waiting for Terry, but can't find him.

One question since I cannot repeat it, and Terry wrote to me that he cannot either.... unless....Do you have the Print orientation Lock turned on?

See if you have the same issue with Image orientation lock off.... (I accidentally called it print orientation lock)
See attached so we are talking about the same lock.

Hi Fred =

Just did several tests.  First, I seem to have slightly overstated the situation. This loss of rotation and size reversion appears to happen only to the image that I edit - not to any of the others in the queue.  Second, it turns out I did not have orientation locked - I usually do but did not. Anyway I tried this with both locked and unlocked and got the same results.  Again, this happens only if I change the size using the Size/Loc tab of the page editor - it does not happen if I change it using the zebra button on the thumbs page.

Thanks  for looking into this

Hi Mel,
I  have now repeated the problem.
A4 page, horizontal format. 2 images in queue 150 x 200 mm (~6" x 8"), so 1 image per page.
In the page editor I reduced the size on the 2nd page to 150x 180mm and then double clicked to open the editor and made an adjustment.
The print size then reverted to 150 x 200!

Terry

PS. Image orientation lock was on.

I hate when that happens!  The first night I had this problem, I swear it reverted all of the images in the queue.  But now I can't repeat that.  However, the problem of the print that I edit changing back to its original size is consistent and repeatable (regardless of the orientation lock status).  Since I always save - as a job or a session - the set of cropped images before I do any image edits, this is not something that will cause me great angst - but it is strange. Thanks Terry -
