Hi, I've noticed this issue since changing from Qimage to QI Ultimate.
I have thumbnails turned OFF so therefore have just a list of filenames displayed below the folder section.  My mouse wheel is set to scroll 6 lines per click which has always worked in Qimage, but in QI ultimate the file list only moves one place for each wheel click, could you please have a look at this as it makes things much slower for me; I've tried this on 2 different computers and get the same results on both.

Thanks

Chris

Additional details: OS win XP and Vista both same results, also used 2 different mice (both Logitech)

Hi Chris,
No problems here. Other than checking your mouse settings again, I cannot suggest anything else. What about in other programs?

Hi Terry,
Thanks for checking!

The scrolling works fine in other programs including my version of Qimage Studio, but in every version of ultimate that I've tried it only moves the file list by one line.  I thought it may be a bug as it happens on 2 different machines?

The list in Ultimate is not a simple file list like Studio but rather a graphic grid: point being, it's just a different control that doesn't accept scroll distance (only up/down).  So that's why it scrolls differently.  I'll see if, in a future version, I can find a way to connect the Windows-set scroll amount to that control.

OK, at least I know that its not my computers that are the cause  Grin

"The list in Ultimate is not a simple file list like Studio but rather a graphic grid"

In fact that also may answer something that I noticed today; that when I scroll the file list Qimage uses up to 60% of my CPU compared to studio using about 7%.

Anyway, if you get chance to add it to a future version that would be great

Thanks

That would make sense.  Studio had no info other than file names to scroll.  QU is using graphical icons like the add button, print properties, rating, and database indicator.  I've fixed the scroll amount in 218, due out later today.

Thanks Mike, I've just tried 218 and it seems to work far better for me  Grin Grin

(I'm still having issues with layouts so will open another thread)
