Just having fun and using a new feature that, honestly, I didn't think I would have much use for.
In the video, Mike explained how many might use the Hot Folder as a drop for images from your other networked computers, Macs, Drag and drop from anywhere in Explorer,
from your tablets and Smart Phones using WiFi... and more.

Other than my gorgeous wife's computer that is networked, I really did not have any alien, imported images...(Had to use 'gorgeous wife' as sometimes she sneaks a look at what I write)
Then I received an email from Terry with 7 of his fine pictures.  When Terry sends me pictures, I cannot just scroll/browse them in the email.
I have to look at them in Qimage. (If I don't, he sends the Sheriff of Nottingham, Robin Hood, Little John, Agent 007, and Sherlock from 221 Baker Street over to my house to make sure I do).

So when Terry's email arrives, I right click the attached images, and SAVE ALL to the selected HOT FOLDER.

Then I click the TURN on the Hot Folder button in Ultimate , top right corner (if it isn't on already), and there are the saved images.
See screen snaps and click them to enlarge.

Once they appear in the queue, you can use Slide Show, Instaview, Comparator, or even Brows the folder from where the images originated, The HOT FOLDER".
Now you can use hover/spacebar, Examiner, or any other Right Mouse on Thumbnails menu.

It really is a neat thing for me.
I do Right click on the email... SAVE... (where) Hot Folder... and the images are ready to view, or work on, or print!
Try it!

I just looked at the Google Maps, and it looks like Nottingham is about 25 miles from Sherwood forest.
Don't know where you live, but watch for Robin or the Sheriff

About 60 km due east. don't ask how far that is, I still work in miles Smiley Smiley

Still some dispute of RHood's actual location, Yorkshire tries to claim him, Finningley old RAF base now called Robyn Hook, but then Yorkshire claims everything, it became a The Republic of Yorkshire long before Alex Salmon appeared on the scene.
