Title: Multiple configurations for same printer paper possible?
Post by: CurtGo on December 29, 2017, 02:50:38 PM
I'm adjusting to the new UI conventions of V2018 and generally like the changes.  I think I follow how the printer configuration is persistent with selection of printer and paper, but wonder if I can create an alternate settings configuration for the same paper/printer combination.

For example, I normally print color work on Epson exhibition fiber with an Epson p800, letting Qimage do the color management.  However, I really like the Epson's advanced black and white feature in their driver and would like to also have a corresponding setup for the same paper/printer which invokes the advanced B&W feature and lets the printer manage manage color (or lack there of).

Is this possible?  Am I missing something?

Easy to do and I use loads of multiple sets for my printers
For example: I have Epson Ultra Luster and Canon Ultra luster same A3+ size, of course with different profiles.  I even have A3+, A3, 8.5 x 11 and 5 x 7 all for the same paper. Makes it easier for me.

Set everything up as if ready to print, including all driver settings as well as Qimage settings.
Go to the SAVE button.  There are two. Top left corner of main screen and also in the settings tab.
Click the P button to set it for Printers
Give it a name like  Epson   ..... A3 glossy and click Save
See snaps.

Thanks Fred.  I got so caught up in the revised right-hand panel that I forgot about the old ways  :-[
