Title: Need help: move QU license to new computer
Post by: nealix on June 01, 2012, 05:40:49 PM
Hi:

I purchased QU 2012.217 early this year and installed it on my main desktop.
I have built a new desktop, and wish to move my license.  I can't find the
procedure to properly deactivate my old license.  In addition, I reviewed my
purchase emails and I only see a receipt and an email with the now expired
download link.

I searched the forum, and also sent Mike an email, but have no answer yet.
So I am trying the forum.

How do I properly deactivate my license on my old machine?
Where should I look, or contact, for the install key, password, or process
for reinstall on the new machine?

Thanks,

Neal

No need to do acrobatics.
Just follow the email you received:

EXPIRATION NOTE: The above link and password apply to v2012.217 only! The
link and password change with each version so you'll need a new email for
each new version.  To request an email with the latest link and password,
click "Help", "About Qimage" in Qimage Ultimate and click "Update Now".
Alternately, you can to go http://www.ddisoftware.com/forms/qimage-u.html
and enter your email address.
After installing, you may have to complete the action below.

You may have to complete this form from the Qimage HELP... nothing more than your email address.

If you are looking to deactivate Qimage on the old machine because you are donating, (Wow, this is tough to remember) (If I am wrong, we will have to wait for Mike).

CTRL ALT SHIFT and click the UNLOCK button with HELP and REGISTER info open.
That will remove the unlock key
