Occasionally, an incorrect setting on our classroom camera (Canon G7 X Mark II) is chosen, and raw photos are taken. These appear in QU as slightly curved, as though taken through a fish-eye lens, and the corners have dark shaded curves in them. If I open one of these CR2 photos using the Windows 10 photo app, it displays as I would expect it to for about a second, and then the whole fish-eye / dark shading view is imposed on the image. Can Qimage correct this, please? Note: I am not a professional photographer (but QU is brilliant for our purposes) so apologies if that makes the advice more difficult.

Lens distortion correction is something that is done on a camera by camera basis and I generally have to have the camera on hand in order to program the corrections.  I've been able to do it by request but it requires that you take pictures of a grid (I usually suggest tiles in a shower) at varying zooms from wide angle to full telephoto.  But I suspect that's more effort than you want to partake in this case.

Regards,

I'll save you the grief, Mike  Smiley The teachers will be *fired* if they do this again. I appreciate the reply.

Just as a follow-up in case it helps anyone else: opening the CR2 files in Photoshop Express allows them to be saved as jpegs without distortion.
