No, I didn't. I was stunned as they came out of the printer. This morning, after drying overnight, they look even better, but the differences between them are a bit more noticeable, but I'm pleased with either.
What kind of camera are you using?

I am getting confused. When you select a paper type in the driver, that is not creating a profile.
Right now, use Canon paper, and use the Canon profiles that are recommended for the paper.
As soon as you have the setup absolutely correct to print, (paper selection, correct profile showing in Qimage printer profile box, settings in driver that we went over (Quality, Color management NONE), print size..... Now Save the setup.
Do it again when you use Semi Gloss, Premium Matte, Platinum Gloss...
I even make a printer setup for 8.5 x 11, A3, 13 x 19, and even Landscape/Portrait. for the same paper type
I did learn that basic procedure somewhere along the way, and it must have been one of the videos (one of yours?).
Heres' what I did:
1. Loaded the profile I created based on your instructions.
2. Clicked "Properties" to open the Canon Printer Properties dialog.
3. Changed the "Media Type" to "Other Glossy Paper", paper size to 4x6. Clicked OK to close the properties dialog.
4. Clicked the "Save" button and saved as a new printer profile. {{Canon PRO-100 series}}{{Other Glossy Paper 4x6}}.prt
It seems to work, but if you see anything amiss, let me know.
I have two profiles for the current printer that I'll be using (I have to do some weeding, I'll do that later). Looking at your listing above, I can see ending up with possibly several dozen profiles for different papers, sizes, finishes, orientation, and
. My memory not being what it used to be (which really was never any good), how does one manage to keep track of all those profiles? I plan to eventually try some of the various sample packs available from different paper suppliers (Red River, etc.). Things could get messy.
I know about the keyword search and how to use it. But what I'm asking, really, is how do you keep track of them?
And along that line, are the double braces {{}} in the profile names needed, serve some specific purpose? I have one without the braces, and it seems to work. "Canon Pro Luster 8.5x11 prt.prt" is identical to "{{Canon PRO-100 series}}{{Photo Paper Pro Luster}}.prt". For some reason not understanding the braces is giving me pause.
That's where I'm at now.
Last night at 7:30pm, my contractor called and said he's coming this morning to remodel our back porch. We weren't expecting him for a couple of weeks. Anyway, I'll probably be a mildly annoying customer, so my forum activity may be somewhat spotty occasionally.
