Title: No color management Post by: rani on July 26, 2014, 01:56:21 PM Hi,
After reading this post: "http://ddisoftware.com/tech/qimage/'no-color-management'-in-qimage/" there is somthing still not clear to me. I am using i1Profiler and i1pro2 to generate my target prints (TIFF) and measure them. When opening the TIFF files in PS CS6 I see there is no document profile tag to them (no srgb/Argb...) In Qimage the files do have AdobeRGB assigned to them. Is these ok? shouldn't the files be printed with no color management at all? Not really! It all depends on what color space you set in Qimage for Qimage to use when there is no tag or embedded profile. My targets show sRGB. The thing is, you have Qimage! Qimage makes this so easy for you. You simply open the RECALL button under FILE. Click the J button for JOBs. Select Target print setup file, and OPEN. Qimage has shut off sharpening, Print filters global filters, profiles, set interpolation to Vector, and set the print size to the correct Original Size. All you have to do is click the little plus on the target's thumbnail and print. Of course you are expected to set the correct paper type in the driver, the quality setting, and COLOR MANAGEMENT OFF. Easy Peasy Just made some new profiles this week too. Fred . Title: Re: No color management Post by: rani on July 26, 2014, 04:04:01 PM OK
