Post by: mike397x on May 25, 2018, 01:05:11 PM
HI-I'm running Qimage on a windows 10 machine, and would like to start using the new nozzle check program.
Can anyone guide me to the link?

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks,

Open Qimage Ultimate. Click the FILE menu (top left)
Select PRINT SCHEDULE UNCLOG.....
When that screen opens, you will fiind a V in red, lower right corner.
Enjoy.

I did 2 full page nozzle checks, one on my Pro-10,& the other on the Pro-1.
What exactly am I looking for?-all the line seem fine, with no breakup, anywhere
Am I to assume the check came back ,OK?

Thanks,
MikeS

Hi Mike,

The nozzle check that you do from the driver is the one where you would actually check the nozzles.  Qimage's unclog pattern is not for nozzle checks: it is meant to keep the printer's nozzles "exercised" so you don't get clogs and to free up minor clogs (if you see clogs in the driver's nozzle check).  If you do see breaks (usually horizontal lines) in Qimage's unclog pattern, that would prompt you to do a nozzle check in the driver of course, but other than that, you're not really looking for "problems" by using Qimage's unclog pattern.

Regards,
Mike

So,if I am seeing a break...in the horizontal lines, then I should perform a cleaning?
Am I correct on this???

If you see horizontal breaks or banding, that's your cue to go to the next step: open the driver properties and print a nozzle check pattern from the driver.  The driver's nozzle check pattern is where you confirm whether or not you have clogs.  If you do, then do a cleaning based on the result from the driver nozzle check.
