Order of thumbnails in display

Ever since I have been using Qimage my thumbnails are displayed with the latest photo in the folder at the top and earlier ones further down. All other applications show them in the reverse order earlier files on top later ones (higher file number) below. Is there any way to change this? I am sure I am missing something.

Yes and yes
Go to EDIT - Preferences, in the bottom section click "Thumb Sort".
There are several options there.
