Title: Paper type confusion..
Post by: NackJich on August 18, 2017, 07:48:57 PM
Hi I'm a little stuck with this one. At my printer I select Custom Paper / Hahnemuhle Leonardo Canvas. In Qimage under driver settings / properties I can select the correct paper in the printer driver. However, back in Qimage it's showing as Unlisted [307] and the Leonardo canvas is not listed anywhere? The colours on the print with the above selection (using the correct profile) are way off. I made a standard test print on a recognised media and it was perfect. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi,

I'm pretty sure this  Hahnemuhle canvas would not be listed in the standard drop down list of media in your driver and your Custom media setting uses an equivalent from the standard driver list.
Just like on my Epson printer, Ilford smooth gloss is not listed so I choose the recommended Epson equivalent which is Premium Gloss.
When using QU you must set up the driver from within QU for a particular media type using the Propertis button in the Settings tab. That printer setup can then be saved and recalled for future use with QU.
If you click the Red V at the bottom of the Printers and Settings tab, you can see a video about this. It's a little out of date as the UI has changes since it was made but you should get what to do from it.
If you do as Fred requested and send more information, then we should be able to give more detailed help if required.

Terry

Please be sure you have the latest version of Qimage Ultimate installed.
