I have owned the software for some time now, and I'm using it to drive an Epson 9880. I had my first official job to print yesterday and it took me nearly 2 hours and a lot of wasted paper to get it right. the trouble that I'm having is that there seems to be a conflict between the Epson driver and Qimage. All I needed to print was a 24 x 36 inch print onto Kodak Ultra Lustre paper which is as 36inch roll For the life of me I couldn't get it to rotate to print vertically on the page, it just kept trying to print along the width of the paper? Even with auto rotate selected and the paper size set bigger than 36inches it still wouldn't do it! In the end I selected the next"A" size up and it did rotate, but I wasted loads of paper. Paul, I need some help to figure out exactly what you are trying to do. Based on that snap, what would you want different? Is your picture a landscape or a portrait like mine? Reading my message back it does seem a bit garbled. I'll start again. As far as I am aware I cannot print full bleed on the Epson 9880. Therefore if I wish to print a 36inch long image onto a 36inch wide roll I have to rotate the image so that it comes out of the machine head first so to speak for a portrait image. Unfortunately I'm not near the machine that I use to give you a screen grab, but hopefully that's a bit clearer. If it turns out that I can print full bleed on the Stylus Pro 9880, then all I need to know is where exactly I set the borderless printing? Hope this makes sense, please bear with me :-) We work together, Paul. Please bear with me. I am not so fast at understanding what a person is trying to do. Yes, Full bleed is available, That is what I have turned on to make the print at your requested size on the roll paper width you allowed. Please see the attached screen snaps to show where borderless is turned on, and also the way I have set the paper size in user defined paper size. In Qimage, with crop scissors on, I selected Custom print size; 36 x 24. Let me know if you are OK now. Fred Title: Re: Please in layman's terms help!!
