Print Info

Mike, you do a great job, no doubt. I have been subscriber for years now (how long? too many. ha) No question Qimage is the best way to print yet invented. Question: is it possible to offer options in the Print Info section in Processing, to include say, an option to put the Print Info to say 1/2" above or over the margin setting, with the choice of the bottom or the side margin?
Since most artists/photographers sign their prints, having an option like this would allow including the print detail, but out of sight in the print. That said, the Print Info option is great for use for test prints, preview, proofs and to keep track of them, including what a customer signs off on, or the artist uses for print editions.

There are a couple ways to do this if I'm understanding what you are saying. One is to add a white border. For example, if you want the print info 1/2 inch away from the bottom of the print, a half inch white border would do that. If you want to get "infinitely" customizeable, you can also use floating text and put the floating text anywhere you like on the page.
I'm not sure what you mean by "in the margin" but I should point out that you can't print anything in the non-printable margins (because they are non printable) but I suspect you know that. By "in the margin" you probably mean just some distance away from the print and the above ideas should be able to do that.
Regards,
Mike
