I use Capture One to set the sharpening for my prints. These settings are perfect and I don’t want QImage to interfere with these. What i do want is that QImage takes into account the PAPER I’m printing on because Capture One does not have settings to do just that. Is there a way to do just that?

Hi,
QU has a Smart Print Sharpening feature. See this page for some detail (half way down).
http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/tech-prt.htm
It says Consistent sharpness: Qimage's smart sharpening takes many factors into account when producing final prints to ensure that your 13x19 photos look as good and have sharpness equivalent to your 4x6 snapshots!  All calculations are performed transparent to the user.  There is nothing to adjust on a print-by-print basis!
However this can be turned off if in the Printers & Processing tab: Sharpen, the default level is 5.

QU enables you to save and recall printer settings for any condition you require, printer, paper type, etc. etc. Therefore you could have different print sharpening levels for each paper type and save on that basis.
However, smart print sharpening works for most QU users and I recommend you try it.
It does not mean you don't sharpen the image before printing; smart print sharpening will enable you sharpen an image in your editor to look right on screen and then QU will print such that the sharpness looks the same as the image on screen, regardless of print size. You probably wont need to change the value for each paper type ether. NB. the Smart sharpen setting variations are quite subtle.
