Hi, I've been using qimage ultimate for many years with no problems.  Today, when I went to make a print on my canon ipf8300, the printer dialogue came up but everything was greyed out and the preview never showed up.
I was able to print from photoshop no problem so I don't think it's a printer driver issue.
Can you help?
Thanks in advance!

Printer dialogue box came up when you did what?

In the meantime, try a printer reset.
See screen snap and see the cursor arrow where to click to get the reset box.

Hi Fred, when I print from qimage, it processes the image, then brings up the print preview dialogue box where I can check and make sure everything looks right.
The print preview dialogue is fully grey with no options and no preview.
I then opened the same image in photoshop and printed with no problems.

Fred, where did you go to reset the media?  I'm not sure how to get to the screen that you posted.

See the right side of teh screen snap. You will see the white arrow cursor that clicked to get the reset box.
Is the preview box open but no image?

OK here's what I got.
I have the driver for the printer.
I set the paper to sheet super B
When I check the print preview box, a notice appears.
See snap 102...

Next I close driver and click PRINT
See snap 103 This box offers choices to see preview
See snap[ 104  Print, preview, exit.....
I clicked on Preview and I get snap 105; the print preview.

Check your settings. Remember Qimage remembers the settings. A  bad one will be kept until changed.

This is what I see.  everything is grey and I can't click on anything and need to force-close it.
My qimage also looks different than your so I'm not sure where to access that option that you indicated.

Well we should start somewhere on equal footing.
Your Qimage is 7 years old, and easily 350 versions behind.
Now what driver version are you running . I have 4.31
Then we can get together on check marks in what boxes and why mine works and yours does not.

Legit point Fred.  How do I find out my printer driver info?
I remember I had to update that about a year or so ago because I was having a print head problem and they initially thought something was wrong with the driver.

With the software, I've avoided updating it because it's always worked and updating stuff that works often causes more problems than it fixes.  But...I guess it's time.
I guess I have to figure out how upgrades work.

Thanks for that. I'm on the same version that you are for the printer driver.

One of the biggest things that has held me back from upgrading is that I don't want to lose my profiles and paper setups and all the customizations I've done since I got the program.  I know often when I upgrade photoshop, I have to reinstall all my plugins and stuff each time which really sucks so I wasn't sure if I would need to deal with any issues with qimage.

You wont lose anything when upgrading.
Just to be sure and comfortable, back up the stored stuff.

Ok, so I just bought the updgrade to the latest version and have it installed.
In the past, when I clicked on a thumbnail, it would bring up a dialogue box that showed all my prints sizes.  How do I do that now?  The only thing I can seem to add is a 4"x5" image.
