Title: Printing from LAB images
Post by: MrPunch on April 03, 2014, 12:05:37 PM
I work in the LAB color space quite a bit, but printing LAB images from QImage Ultimate produces prints which are almost black.

Is this a limitation of the program or, being relatively new to it, am I missing something obvious?

LAB color space is not a printable color space.  Al printers are RGB.
The images must be converted to some form of RGB color space before printing.
You can do this easily in Qimage Ultimate by placing them in the queue and using CONVERT, turn on Profile to Profile conversion and make the TO: profile either Adobe RGB or sRGB or some other favorite you have.
I use my camera raw image profile color space, or Adobe RGB
