Title: Printing Hairline Borders Post by: Foxhills on September 16, 2019, 05:03:42 PM In previous versions (not used for a long time) I had no problem printing hairline borders around each photo on a page. Now I am unable to find this option with the current version. Maybe it's being called something different. Is there a difference between a border and a frame?

Borders are now located at the bottom of the PRINTS tab The term FRAME is what I use when I use a cutout frame. You can also try using new mats. I've just checked this out, and under the Printers and Settings tab/Cut Marks/Solid Black Line, you do indeed get a Hairline black border around your print. In this case, Solid means "not Dashed" rather than a thick line.

I was looking for the term "hairline" in the program and of course none is found. I think that for most people "hairline" is a more obvious, unambiguous term than solid black line. Enough said about that but I still haven't discovered what the term mat means.

Creating a MAT is achieved by placing your image in the queue and a right click on it. That will give a menu option to create a matIt actually says Photo Mat create uneven borders. The beauty of using mats is that you can create any thickness, any colr and apply to all sides or one or two sides. You can make a thick border on the bottom and add floating text on it. Many things to play with. Not the least of which is multiple mats. add another mat and another and another, various colors and thicknesses. You have to try and use it a few times.
