Warning! English is not my native language :-)

I have been using Qimage for 20 years ... at least :-) - and I will continue to use Qimage. There is absolutely no doubt about that.

My monitor has always been calibrated and I have created profiles for the papers I use with X-rite Colormunki Photo. The match between my monitor and prints has always been very, very good. My printer is a Canon Pixma Pro 100.

One year or so ago I had to buy a new PC and now the prints are a bit darker than what I see on the screen and I can not quite figure out why. I have calibrated my new monitor, of course, but I have not created new paper profiles. Do I have to create new paper profiles too? - or......?

Hi Jana,
The usual reason for prints being too dark compared to your monitor is that the monitor is too bright.
I had a similar problem a little while ago when I replaced my monitor with an Eizo LED model.
With colour managed printing you need to get the monitor to match your prints, not the other way round. This means setting the monitor brightness to match a print.
I found with my new monitor, when calibrating it I had to set the brightness level in the calibration software quite low. Previously I'd used 120cd/m2 with my non-LED monitor, now I use 80cd/m2.
I get perfectly matching screen view and prints (viewed with an Ott Lite).
