Title: PrintUnclogPattern Queue Delete?
Post by: john374 on September 01, 2016, 10:16:24 PM
Each time I try and reduce or change the PUP queue, so that only one page will print, the queue adds another page to the PUP print. I'm now up to printing 4 pages each time the scheduled PUP prints. How to change? QI 2017.102. Also did the same with 2016.xxx. I obviously don't know what I'm doing.

I've not had any reports of similar problems but remember that the driver settings are in play here too because each unclog setup is based on a particular printer setup.  When you click the "Setup" button to make your printer driver selections, make sure the "Copies" parameter in the driver is set to 1.  If "Copies" in the driver setup is set to 4, it'd give you 4 pages.  Maybe that's what is going on.

Regards,
Mike

Thanks for the reply. I did, of course, re-set the printer settings, twice, but no help.  May be I should uninstall and reinstall QI on my Win 7 Proff box? If I do that is their a way to keep my registration, or may be just download the latest QI and some how re-register?

I want to make sure I understand the conditions then.  If you choose the print unclog settings that you want from the dropdown and then click the 'Queue' button, does QU show 4 pages in the queue?  Or is QU showing only one page but then 4 pages actually print?  That would tell us whether the problem is coming from QU or the driver.

QI shows one page, BUT then asks if "Page 1 is correct", then shows another page (in the right hand image window) and asks if "Page 2 is correct", ect. until, at this point, 4 pages have been displayed. If at any time I select NO then the process aborts, i.e., none are printed. If I select YES for all four question then as expected 4 pages are printed.  Sorry, I'm not at my comp. with QI right now but I believe I've stated the displayed question, shown in a window, correctly.

You may have added the same unclog setup 4 times in the scheduler.  Open the unclog dialog and click the "Schedule" button and see if you have four entries in the top box.  If so, use the delete key to delete all but one of them.  See if that fixes the problem.

Yes, that's what I'd done. Hadn't read anywhere that perhaps previous instantiations should be removed.
Thanks again for your expedient help.
