I recently purchased a Canon Powershot S100.  The raw files are "CR2".  They appear fine is Lightroom with the recent upgrade to 3.6, however when they appear in Qimage they are all magenta in the thumbnails and when I hit the space bar to view them.

Are there plans to support these raw files or is the problem on my end that perhaps needs fixing.  I know this is a fairly new camera and I can convert images to tiffs or jpegs with other software.  Just wondering if support is planned or if it is my computer?

Thanks,
Mackie

Your camera does not seem to be supported yet according to the list here:
http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/tech-raw.htm
Go down page to see list, it goes up to the Canon S95. Hopefully Mike will update you on the expected time scale for S100 raw support, he has to wait for dcraw to be updated by its developer.

Like always, watch dcraw and whenever it is available in dcraw (it is not as of this time), it will be in QU within about a month.  The S100 just went on sale a week ago, in limited supply.  As of a month ago, it was just a rumor so it went to market very quickly after the pre-release models were available which is probably why dcraw doesn't support it yet.

Interestingly, David Coffin says on his site:-

Does dcraw work with my camera?
Most likely, yes. If your camera is not on the Supported list, try dcraw anyway. If it doesn't work perfectly, don't just sit quietly waiting for my next version. Ask me if I need any raw photos, or go ahead and post a photo to your website and e-mail me the URL. If you don't have a website, use YouSendIt, RapidShare, Sendshack, ShareFile, sendspace, or Megaupload.

Mackie, you could do just that.

Thanks everyone for the very quick responses.  I will give the dcraw link a try.
