Forgive me if I posted this a second time.  I don't think the first post actually was posted.

I am running Qimage Ultimate v2018.110.  I have a problem with Qimage sizing prints.  The photos show it best.

I tried to upload these photos to the board, but it kept complaining that they were too big.  Then it errored out and wouldn't post anything.

The size of the picture is 4936 x 3296.

P1 is a print from the older Qimage Studio.  Note the white bars on the top and bottom of the print.  The Print does not fit the exact 81/2 x 11 page.
P2 is when I tried to print the photo today in Qimage Ultimate.  Same photo.  I tried Fit to Paper, Fit to Page, and other various combinations of sizes, and Qimage wanted to crop the left and right size so that the picture would fit in the page (or size) area.
P3 is when I printed the print from Photoshop.  Note that the top and bottom bars are there and the picture is not cropped.

How can I get Qimage Ultimate to size this picture correctly?

I have no real information from you, but it sounds like you have the auto crop turned on, Or let me ask id in the lower right corner of the print on screen, you see a scissor icon in a red circle?

It all depends on what the aspect ratio of the image happens to be when cropping takes place to fill out a print size request
In my example, I am using an uncropped image from my Canon which is 3:2.
Therefore an uncropped print trying for 10 x 8, gives me a 10 x 6.66 print (3:2)
If I want a full 10 x 8, I must pull out the sides in proportion to fill the 6.66 to 8.0.   10 x 8 is no longer 3:2, but is 5:4
To change a 3:2 to a 5:4 without cropping, you must stretch or distort the image.

Put the two into Best shot selector and compare side by side. Look at the edges right and left. Full coveragein both

Even better example: With faces you can really see what gets sacrificed for the 10 x 8 using 3:2 aspect ratio

Autocrop WAS turned on.  I turned it off, and the sizing looks correct.

However, I still get the red scissors in the lower right corner.  How do I turn this off permanently?  I just copied the picture into the queue.  If I want something cropped, I'll do it myself.

Just click on the scissor with the red circle and it will ask if you want it off.

That's all well and good, but if I am printing a number of prints, I shouldn't have to go into each one to turn it off.

Just don't turn it on. It will apply to single prints iof needed so you don't have to go through a bunch of prints.
It it hs been applied to a bunch of prints, you asked for it. It is not automatic unless you select FIT TO PAPER, which, as I explained was designed for printing accurate sized scans and drawings

But in a previous topic, if I set "Fit to page", I get a larger print that consumes 4 sheets of paper.

Someone needs to look at this in Qimage Ultimate.

Sorry you are experiencing 4 pages. No one else has been able to reproduce this phenomenon.
I have the driver, and Mike has the driver and the actual Pro 1000 and he cannot reproduce it.
Obviously, one must be able to reproduce it so it can be located before fixing.
Since Fit to paper is not a normal print size for printing pictures, you should not be in a bind.
If you feel it must be fixed, please contact Canon customer service, and explain that only YOU can make this happen. Maybe tey know of some software conflict with their driver.

This is normal expected behavior. 'Fit to Paper' expands the image to include the printer margins, which will be printed as separate slivers on four extra pages.   'Fit to Paper' is not designed for your use, it's an extremely useful  feature for printing photos with white borders centrally on printers with un-even borders. In your case, only use 'Fit To Page'. If you are using a non-standard print size, most printers will not allow borderless printing, so the margins will always be there.

I thought of one more suggestion.
Perhaps, you can start with a desktop, and start a video from there. Open Qimahe Ultimate, place your image in the queue, and click on whatever you do to get 4 pages, and send the video.

I have found weird stuff by sending Mike a video of something he cannot reproduce.
He sees my mouse movement; the speed of the cursor, and the territory it glides over, and there it is.
