Title: Qimage Advantages Post by: Jeff on February 01, 2014, 12:32:33 PM Hello.
I am recreating/updating my Web Site. Of course, I have a link to QImage and would like to include a list of Advantages of QUltimate. I can think of quite a lot of advantages, but wonder if I should first consult the experts for suggestions. Simple things as Creating WEB/Email copies, two or three clicks and job done and email sent. Compare that with procedure in PS Elements. http://jmila4.wix.com/ejdigitalimages Jeff Title: Re: Qimage Advantages Post by: tonygamble on February 01, 2014, 12:47:12 PM Jeff,
Concentrate on its ability to produce better files from RAWs. Better tonal range. Better sharpness. More intelligent interpretation of the basic RAW. As a daily user of QU I consider recent add-ons like the ability to search for images based on keywords of no value. I can get that from other software. What I don't think I can get from anywhere else is a better image from my RAW file - and that makes QU unique. Likewise producing web sized and email sized images. Surely many of the low cost Photoshop look alikes can do that? Maybe I am the only person around here with this point of view - so forgive me if I get challenged and retire hurt!! I would start with the printing advantages, where it all began. These links may be of help and useful to include: Quality summary http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/quality.htm Printing Technologyhttp://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/tech-prt.htm DFS http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/tech-dfs.htm and TTS http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/tech-tts.htm Fusion Interpolation http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/tech-fus.htm Raw Support: http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/tech-raw.htm Terry Title: Re: Qimage Advantages Post by: Jeff on February 01, 2014, 03:17:28 PM Thanks both
That has given me an approach I had not thought of, I know most of these things but putting it down in a concise list is not all that easy, - I find. Back to the grind. Jeff Title: Re: Qimage Advantages Post by: Terry-M on February 01, 2014, 08:14:15 PM Jeff,
One other advantage - 14 day trial and the price! http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/downloads.htm (http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/downloads.htm) Terry. PS. and note the list of improvements and updates which includes the swift elimination of any glitches. Title: Re: Qimage Advantages Post by: Lurcherjohn on February 01, 2014, 10:46:57 PM Hi Jeff,
I would say Qimage is good for making templates, saving and then recalling them eg. to print cards of different sizes, shapes and layouts. Most of my printing is done using recalled templates. John |
