Title: Qimage and canvas media Post by: Justan on June 17, 2014, 06:25:27 AM I print on canvas media and find that once I’ve applied a protective coating to the canvas surface, that the media shrinks between about 1% and 3%. This is a bit problematic when my goal is to make a finished product a certain size. I read someplace that Qimage has a feature to use with canvas that can compensate for this shrinkage. I’ve never looked into it but would appreciate some guidance on where I can learn how to implement this and related considerations. I'm using Ultimate, ver 2012.211 TIA Title: Re: Qimage and canvas media Post by: Terry-M on June 17, 2014, 06:43:07 AM Quote I read someplace that Qimage has a feature to use with canvas that can compensate for this shrinkage Yes, it does, it's right there bottom left of the main screen on the Job Properties tab.See screen shot below. Place your mouse in the % box and right click to open the calculator. Note that the shrinkage compensation is on length. It appears that the edition I have does not have that feature, or at least have it at the location illustrated in the image. Is this something that perhaps can be toggled?

How do i go about getting a newer edition and does the upgrade alter my configuration? I'm very busy currently and don't have time to fuss with things. Thanks! Go to this page to Upgradehttp://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/purchase.htm (http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/purchase.htm) It says at the bottom of the page: "only $19.99/yr after (fee is not additive: skip as many upgrades/years as you like and it's still only $19.99 to renew) Your configuration will not be affected and well worth the $19.99 ;) Terry |
