Been using QImage since 2008, thinking about upgrading to Ultimate in order to bring everything up to speed.   I use IMatch for DAM for all my photos.   I see that you now have plugins for direct printing from Adobe apps;  how does this work for IMatch?  The old QImage that I have doesn't play quite that well, I have to copy things to a TO PRINT folder and then open that in QImage; a bit cumbersome.   Would be nice to have something more steamlined.

FWIW, this is using Windows 10 x64 ENTERPRISE.

Thanks for any info.

Another long term IMatch and QImage user here.
In my experience they play very well together.
In the IMatch favorites panel I have a link to QImage.
All you have to do then is select the images you want to print in IMatch and click the QImage icon in the favorites panel.
The images then open automagically in QImage.
That worked like a charm in the old QImage Studio version I have, it also works beautifully in the QImage Ultimate version I purchased recently.

Hope this helps,

Just a little hint:
There is a pitfall for this drag-and-drop stuff.
Have a look into the preferences. An option was introduced some time ago:
When Images are Dropped into Qimage Ultimate : Add to Queue

Yes, I tried that with my current QImage (circa 2009).  Under Windows 10 it does not work since QImage uses a folder on the system drive for temporary files and doesn't have write access for that -- and I don't plan to make system level changes for security reasons.  So that is the core question:  does QImage Ultimate play nicely with Windows 10 so that I can use this method for printing?

The other question I have is whether Ultimate will import the current PRINTER JOB settings I have for my old QImage, or will I have to recreate all of them.   This is one of the things I really like about QImage, single click changes for paper and profiles (and printers themselves).

I know for sure it works under W10 X64 Pro, that is what I use.
Don't know about Enterprise though.....

As for your other question about job settings: I don't know, never used them.
Perhaps one of the old hands here will chime in.

Qimage Ultimate has a "Migrate" button to get old files to any new location.

Works fine.

Well, I just installed QImage Ultimate and I don't see any way to import my old QImage Printer Setup jobs to the new system.   The MIGRATE command under the UTILTIES menu just changes where QImage Ultimate stores its own settings.   I have tried manually copying the old printer setup job profiles to the new location but QImage Ultimate doesn't pay any attention to them.

Is there anyway to avoid having to re-create all of these stored printer setup jobs?

Nevermind, figured it out.   While it had copied settings to the new location, it wasn't using the new location.

Hi Russ,
Do you get any error message that Qimage cannot find the printer when you try to open a job... or any error message?
All your jobs are saved in the SAVE folder which is among the folders where QU keeps all teh stuff that you make.

I have had trouble like this in the past, but the problem was due to my getting a new printer.... or reinstalling a printer driver and Windows  gave it a slightly different name.
Either way, I received an error message.
When you went from previous operating system (what was it?) to W 10, usually it requires an updated printer driver.
The printer name must match exactly to the printer name saved in the Qimage jobs.
If you find this to be the case, rename the printer to match whatever the printer name was saved  in Jobs.
It can be changed in printer properties.

Thanks, I have it working.   As I posted above, while I had copied settings to a new location, I had not told QImage to use the new location.  Right now making a few prints to see how things go and kick the tires on the new user interface.  I do have drag/drop working in IMatch, so that problem is solved.
