well finally got an image to be the right size and tried to print = blue screen of death. that's the only BSOD I've had since installing windows 7. tried again and same BSOD. and now since BSOD's the epson printer utility that chooses matte or glossy black ink will not work either when it was working fine this morning before the BSOD so we can't print out of PS or Corel either.

btw the BSOD that flashes by says something about the Nvidia driver but we never had any problem with that before trying to print out of Qimage

Nvidia drivers can be problematic on installation. It may be that your driver has been automatically updated, and you need to revert to a previous version. It seems that they tend to release buggy versions - a search on 'nvidia driver problems' can give loads of problems that folk have had over the years - for example - http://rvxtm.com/problems-nvidia-drivers-196/  points out a specific quirky behaviour.

I run xp, and had to turn off my third party auto update driver facility, and revert to an early version of my graphic card driver a few months ago due to a siimilar problem. I do not think it is specifically related to qimage.

I too still run XP but found that updating the NVidea driver has solved the occasional very minor display problem there's been with Qimage (Studio Edition) in the past. I've never had a BCOD though! I don't think I've ever had the option of auto-update of my NVidea driver, it's always done manually.
