Title: Qimage Ult can't find printer profile
Post by: J Vee on May 12, 2011, 04:26:16 PM
I create printer profiles with QPrint on Mac, copy to proper proper file in Win 7 computer with valid name.  Win recognizes the icc as a profile (by icon anyway) but the profile never appears in Qimage choices.  Have copied same file into "Profiles" in Qimage, still with no success.  Strangely, I have done this procedure once before and the profile was finally recognized after several reboots.  The profile is exactly the same but I did opt for a larger look up table because it is such an important printer/media combination.  Any help?      J Vee

JV,
Printer profiles go into the Windows folder, C:\Windows\system32\spool\drivers\Color.
If you are looking for the filename from within Qimage, you need to make sure you are looking at *that* folder.
The Qimage screen showing the profiles has a selector button where you choose to look for a profile in the Windows directory as mentioned above, or the Qimage main directory for profiles that come with Qimage.
Make sure you have ALL WINDOWS Profiles ticked.

As for the Qimage Profile folder, that is used for Qimage camera profiles made for your model camera.   http://www.ddisoftware.com/shopping/#cameraq

You should be OK because Qimage shows a filename column as well as a Descriptor column.
