Hi - I've downloaded the trial version as I really need to see if it works ok for what I need it to do before buying the full unlimited version, but after installing it the program won't run - I get an error message saying 'qimage.exe is not a vailid win32 application' - I'm on windows XP 32bit (Has to be this old version as I also run a print software rip called Shiraz 6.4 (Which runs our Epson Stylus Pro 9600) which we have lots of artwork colour matched to. I'd really like Qimage to work as I want to be able to nest jobs along with using the Epson print driver rather than the Shiraz one. (The Siraz seems to add too much magenta into greys etc - but don't have this issue with printing direct from Photoshop with the Epson print driver)

Does anyone know how I can get Qimage to run please? - (I looked at the support page and it says it will run on XP 32bit)

Thanks
Mick

We no longer support XP.  The latest version that supported XP was 2022.114 which is available upon request but we don't have a demo for it.

Ahh ok - thanks for the reply.

How much is that older version? I'm a bit disappointed I can't trial it 1st - hoping it will do what I need it to.

Basically I just need it to be able to offer better options and paper sizes than print options in Photoshop and allow me to nest jobs before printing. I need to be able to put in what my roll width is etc and know where it's going to print on the paper. Through photoshop the page set up options are very limited etc. Need to nest files to minimise paper waste.

I'm assuming Qimage uses the Epson printer driver - or does it have it's own? (like the Shiraz does) - thanks for your help

There is no price discount: just don't buy the lifetime license because it'd be useless if you know you are never going to use it on another computer, another printer, etc.  But at least you could download the latest version if you get a newer printer or want to use it on a system that has more modern printers.  If you buy it and do not complete the registration, I can let you return it if it doesn't work for what you want to do: just ignore the registration nag screens and skip them until you know it works for you.  Once you choose to complete the registration, I can't refund it.

And yes: Qimage uses the Windows driver and doesn't need any specialized driver.

P.S.  If you do decide to buy it, send me an email (email link should be on the return screen after purchase) and let me know you need the XP version because the system is just going to send you the mose recent one automatically.

Regards,
Mike
