Title: QU Preview Window magnification in batch editor
Post by: jeffjessee on September 21, 2010, 02:29:27 PM
Help-

In QS, the magnification of the preview window seemed to be 1, not sure if I set it to that in the distant past and it kept the setting, or that was the default. Now, in QU, it always pops up at .25, and when I change it to .5 or 1, the next time it pops up, it's back to .25. This is frustrating, as I almost never want it at .25! Is there a way I can set it to 1 and it will stay there, forever, until I change it? Or a way to set the default to what I want?

Thanks,
Jeff Jessee

It actually works (very close to) the same way in both programs.  If you are changing a setting that affects the overall image where you are likely to want to see the entire image (saturation, brightness, etc.) it'll go to .25 so you can see more of the image at once.  If you are changing something like sharpening or noise reduction where you are likely to need to see a 1:1 zoom, it starts at 1.  Always been that way.

Thanks MIke- I found out what I was doing wrong. In UQ, the preview window defaulted to "Auto", and came up as you described. When I turned off Auto, it worked as always-I never use Auto, so I wasn't familiar with how it worked.
