I have a large format Epson printer. Can I print the unclog pattern on roll paper? It seems to print only on sheet paper. Am I missing a setting?

I don't have any roll paper at the moment, but as for the setting it it up for roll paper, it's all there.

I just went into Settings in the Unclogger, and switched the paper feed from Sheet to roll; no warnings; saved with a new name; and is operating like the sheet paper does.
Have you tried it?

I have done the same thing but found I had a very large print of the unclogger pattern even when set on half size. I then reduced the print size to A4 to be a more reasonable size.
Like Fred I have no roll paper and only looked at the page preview.

Why would you want the print the unclogger pattern on roll paper assuming it's a photo paper? Plain paper sheets are perfectly adequate and much cheaper.

The unlcog pattern will work nicely on roll paper, but it does make sense to just feed a sheet (or use plain roll paper)... something cheap.  Here are some tips when printing the unclog pattern on roll paper:

- Use cheap paper (doesn't matter what the pattern "looks" like)
- Set the paper length (in the driver) to a short size: probably the minimum height
- Some wide format printers have a minimum length of 6 to 8 inches: you can print a half page pattern in such cases if you want less than the minimum height allowed in the driver
- If you don't want it printing across the full roll width, just set your page width to something less than the roll width (in the driver)

It works well with my Epson 7900, a 24" printer.

I buy 24 inch by 150 foot rolls of HP plain paper. A roll costs something like $10 and lasts forever. In fact, I'm still on my first roll.

I define a page size of 24 inches wide by 6 inches high and select all colors appropriate for the 7900. That's about 300 pages of unclog patterns per roll.

QImage knows to do something  useful with that odd page size and it all just works.

Since I can go days without printing, it is handy to know that the printer will be ready to print another 6 inches of paper every morning without my having to remember to put paper in it.
