Hi everyone.

Been quiet around the forum..
Must be April showers!
So you sit staring at the rain through your window and trying to decide where to go to take some pitcures when the sun does come back.

Here's a neat way to stimulate you creativity!

With about 3 or 4 mouse clicks, I turned an ordinary snap shot into the next AARP bulletin cover photo.  (I wish)
I cropped! I added a cutout!  I clicked on the Black and White pre-made filter.

The other shot was only cropped to enhance the feeling of depth along the catwalk.
So on this day in April, with the forum quiet, and no new pictures, have a look at some from last month, and be careful that some of those creative juices don't drip on your shirt! :-)

So let's see some ideas, some tricks, and some "stimulus packages"

It literally has been a rainy day here but I ventured out for a local walk during a sunny interval.
The image below was taken because I liked the look & colour of the emerging lily leaves and the reflected trees. However, the result looked dull so with a little help from the QU editor, I made an attempt to liven it up a little: an S-curve to increase contrast, Select Colour tab to increase the saturation of the lily leaves, Tone Targeted Sharpening on the red leaves only and finally a modest vignette cut-out to help frame the subject.
Just a simple image and an example of how to use QU to get the best from it on a wet afternoon.
