Hi everyone,
Is it possible to set the maximum amount of RAM to use? So that other open applications do not crash.
I know about the spool settings, e.d.

No.  Interesting idea but I'm not aware of any program that will allow you to do that other than maybe some video games from Steam.  Qimage can only use a max of 3 GB anyway so I doubt Qimage will cause a problem with RAM.  What is the specific issue you are having?

Hi Mike,
For me personally, the boundaries don't matter that much.
I have a powerful system. With a 12 core, 24 threads CPU, 128 Gb RAM installed & a GPU (10 bit) with 8 Gb.

I'm successfully running QU on a software RAM disk. (software = Romex Primo RAM Disk Ultimate)

But I asked because I noticed that Jose Rodriguez, during his lifestream, has to be very careful to use his streaming software and Qimage Ultimate on his PC at the same time. Maybe you can contact them. He is maybe not a superb savvy on computer technology. And aware there is a solution for this, without buying a new system Wink

Quote Jose;
Happy printing

with regards

Oh, that's not RAM related.  Qimage is multithreaded so it uses up to 12 cores when printing.  When he prints, Qimage most likely uses all but one core which doesn't leave enough for streaming.  I'll email him and tell him he can adjust the number of cores in preferences.

Regards,
Mike
