Hi--

So I bought and downloaded the latest version of Q.U. I was able to do something with a RAW image from the Sony RX100. However, it appeared washed in green, which I was partially able to remove, while my Olympus XZ-1 RAW images never appeared tinted even before doing RAW refinement. So I assume this tint is a function of the RX100's not yet being supported.

I know that dcraw does support this camera now, so I am wondering-- any idea when it will be supported by Q.U.?

Also--is there anything I can do to help create a color profile to be available here for RX100 users?

Thanks.

Mike usually waits a little while before doing the necessary processing to incorporate a new camera and does checks on images from the camera. This is to make sure there are no problems with dcraw before QU is updated.

You need an IT8 target like the one show attached below. They are not very expensive if ordered from Wolf Faust in Germany; that is where Mike gets his from for Profile Prism. He would probably sell you one too.
Once you have a target you need to e-mail Mike (DDI support) for full instructions on how to take the photograph of the target. It's not difficult but Mike's guidelines must be followed. You then send the image to Mike, he makes a profile and you get it free.

Hi Terry,

I looked at the Wolf Faust website that sells these (http://www.targets.coloraid.de/); would I buy the C1 target?

And Mike--if you're reading this--are you on board with my doing this?

This one:
R1 - IT 8.7/2 Reflective Scanner Target on Kodak Professional paper.

Somewhere I've read that Mike will make profiles from users target images, email him direct at mchaney@ddisoftware.com for the details.
In fact I have done it very recently; I do have Profile Prism so was able to make my own but I sent the image to Mike too for him to check and make a 600D profile to add to the QU collection.
