Title: Raw to Tif
Post by: tlane on November 06, 2010, 04:46:04 PM
I would like to periodically use QI-U to convert raw image to tif. I would like to then process tif file in Photoshop.

I would like to set white balance and exposure in QI-U without entering the image editor, and save to tif. I cannot figure out how to do this.

I would like to save a 16-bit tif image. I cannot find this setting either - tif files saved (via image editor) are 8-bit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ted

Ted,
You can set White balance in REFINE. Then put the image in the queue (by clicking on the little plus sign on the thumbnail.)
Right mouse click on the large image upper right, and select Convert Image.
Your image box will open and select TIF and any other items you want with it.
There is no provision for making a 16 bit Tif at the present time.

Thanks, Fred.

Shame you cannot just right click on the thumbnail and "convert image," but at least I can avoid the photo editor...

If you can settle for a non compressed JPG, you can get that from a right click off the thumbnail, but a Tif needs the other menu.
