Rendering Intent when printing B&W?

I get really great, neutral B&W prints, but you know, we are always striving for "more", no matter what the "more" is, so I guess my question(s) this time are:

When printing B&W photos, which rendering intent should I use to get the best results? Does it really matter? Should I just stick with Perceptual (default)?

Black Point Compensation - on/off?

Hi

I use Perceptual and BPC 'On', but the best way is to try the alternatives out for yourself. Place two (or more) copies on a page, right-click on one of them, and choose 'Custom Color Management Settings'. You can then change the settings for that copy and see the difference side by side.

It's worth adding some floating text so you know which is which.

Following your adwise, I printed four copies of an image on a single sheet of paper, all with different color managment settings, but I am unable to tell them apart. So, quality wise, it seems that there's nothing to gain by changing Rendering Intent and BPC for B&W prints - at least on my system it isn't.
