Everything is working just fine except for one issue. (After I figured out the annoying Auto Cropping trap). I'm using an Epson 8550. Have paper profiles. (Ai made that easy. Thanks). I use Photoline as my editor. So I soft proof and everything looks fine. I print and everything is fine except for one issue. My prints are over saturated. Prints aren't too dark just the colours are over saturated. So my 'dumb' question is - is there a way to desaturate the print without affecting the soft proof. (Yes I can desaturate in Photoline but that is simply reflected in the soft proofing}. As an aside I don't mind the extra saturation but it's 'wrong' so it needs fixing. regards Title: Re: saturation issues Post by: admin on July 19, 2025, 11:38:35 AM The right way to fix this is to make/obtain better printer profiles that don't have the saturation issue. But having said that, yes, you can desaturate by applying a print filter. Since the print filter is a last step between Qimage and the driver, it won't show on the soft proof. Just double click any image so you have something to work with, enter a negative number in saturation (say -20 to test it) and then from the "File" menu select "Save Current Parameters to File" and give it a name you can remember like "Sat-20" or something.
Then on the main window under the Printers and Settings tab, drop down "Print Filter" and select the file you saved. Regards, Mike Title: Re: saturation issues Post by: bgt1951 on July 20, 2025, 01:04:05 AM Thanks.
