Title: Schedule imaging printing to substitute for unclog/purge sheets? Post by: gchappel on May 06, 2020, 08:39:00 PM I have a canon pro-1000 printer that doesn't get as much use as it should, my bad.
I have been using the schedule purge sheet function in Qimage, works great. There is now, however, a pretty good stack of purge sheets. Is there a way I could point the printer to a folder and have it printout a different image every 2 days instead of a purge sheet? It might not exercise the head as well, but I would have a stack of small images I could actually do something with. For instance, I make up groups of note cards with 5x7 images on the front, is there a way to print one of those every 1-2 days. I would then have gifts or useable items instead of purge sheets. Just a thought. I know the answer is to print more, but I have 2 other printers including a 44" printer that get used a lot more. The poor pro-1000 sits ignored printing out purge sheets. Thanks Great program by the way. Gary Title: Re: Schedule imaging printing to substitute for unclog/purge sheets? Post by: MelW on May 07, 2020, 02:14:44 PM FWIW - I reuse my purge sheets - or sometimes I use the back of "other stuff" as my purge sheets. So I print out Sudoku puzzles, crosswords, memos and documents from the office, then use the backs of all of the above as purge sheets. If I have to use plain paper as purge sheets, I use both front and back, and sometimes print over once it's really dry.

What I was hoping to do is print something "useful" rather than a batch of purge sheets. I guess I could sell those as modern abstract art. I would rather have a small stack of images or cards that I could give away, than a stack of the purge sheets. I just do not see how to automate printing one image every two days or so. Probably an easy way to do it, but not obvious to me. Thanks again for a great program gary |
