I think you have to convert to tiff first otherwise it is the raw file that opens. That is what I have found and it is Logic really.

There are two items that need mentioning regarding smooth combining of apps.
Many may not know that you can right mouse click on a thumbnail in Qimage and click on Send to Photo Editor.
If you go to Utilities menu at the top of Qimage, you can set the Photo editor (.exe) file that you want Qimage to use.
Something like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Photoshop.exe will make CS5 open the thumbs you select.
The result is a call to CS5 when you invoke the Send to Photo Editor, and it will automatically send to ACR if the thumb is from a raw, or the other side of CS5, that is for Tif and Jpg.
Whatever you do in your photo editor program can be saved as....... and when you close the external photo editor, the Save as image (s) appear in the thumbs and the images are there.
