Title: Sharpening queue question
Post by: Jules on November 06, 2011, 02:18:56 PM
Is it possible in Qimage to have some images printing with a different sharpening level to others in the same queue? Today I had a lot of prints to be done that had had sharpening done in PhotoShop as well as some that had had none and hence needed different sharpening levels.

I'm assuming you are talking about image sharpening not print smart sharpening.
Yes, if you do your sharpening in Qimage with the (non-destructive) editor.
Place the images with no sharpening in the queue, double click the1st one on the page preview which opens the editor. Apply the USM/TTS you require and click the Next arrow.
You will be asked if you want to apply that filter to that image only or all the images in the queue and whether you want to create a new image or associate the filter. I recommend you choose "associate".
If you want individual settings for each image, just use Next each time until all are done. That's it, easy  ;)
Why don't you do all your sharpening in Qimage, the basic USM with the Equaliser is very good but Tone Targeted Sharpening is excellent and offers more creativity.
