Just confirming that as long as the monitor is calibrated and the photo has been soft proofed using Lightroom on the specified paper profile, and assuming QI is setup with the same media and paper profile the output should not change correct?

Sorting this out; The softproof has nothing at all to do with anything other than allowing you a guesswork peek at what the print might look like.
The monitor profile has nothing to do with the print either unless you were influenced by it to make adjustments to the image.

Proper and exactly equal settings in the driver and profile and paper settings in Qimage will produce the same colors from Qimage and Lightroom.

Just to follow up on Fred's reply ..
It's important that you set the driver via QU from the Properties button on the Printers and Settings tab.
Remember, the monitor should match the print, not the other way round.
I rarely use softproofing and would never rely on it. It's produced by a double conversion from print profile to monitor profile. An actual print is always the best way to check even if it's a smaller version the the final. Again, I rarely do that as I'm confident in my printer profiles and monitor calibration.

I went to see if there was any further discussion of this topic and re-read the posts.
It struck me that there was an elephant in the room, ignored!!
If Lightroom and Qimage Ultimate spit out the same prints, why not print with Lightroom?
Because they are not the same; only the color would be the same.
QU prints are sharper, more detailed, less blocked shadows, etc. etc.
Now that we addressed that elephant, who has the big shovel?
