I have sony A7r II uncompressed arw images. In Windows Explorer, DxO, Fast RAW Viewer. the color is good. Even in Qimage initially the colors start out true. But when Qimage creates the RAW cache the color becomes posterized and way off. Clearing the raw cache, trying to rebuild the images does not fix the issue.
Any suggestions? I have never seen this issue before with Qimage. Now I have had it happen with both a Win 7 and a Win 10 system.
If I convert the image to TIFF then Qimage shows an image with the correct colors.

I looks like the Sony A7 RII is not yet supported for raw images. The Sony ILCE-7R (A7R) is in the list but not the II version, see http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/tech-raw.htm, scroll down the page.

It is in the dcRaw list as (Sony ILCE-7RM2) https://www.cybercom.net/~dcoffin/dcraw/.

I have now a couple of sample .arw files from the camera and they process fine.
What version of QU are you using, have you updated to 2016.155?

Looks like I missed this camera in the QU supported list as Sony ILCE-7M2 (A7 II)

My go-to site for sample raw photos is Imaging Resource.  I've downloaded a bunch of A7RII raws from this page and they all process without issue:

http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/sony-a7r-ii/sony-a7r-iiTHMB.HTM

So my questions are (Terry mentioned some)...

(1) Are you using the latest 2016.155?
(2) Have you updated the A7RII firmware lately?  It's possible that a firmware update made it incompatible with dcraw.
(3) Have you tried compressed raws?  Uncompressed raw is a new feature in Sony firmware and it's possible that dcraw doesn't support it yet, in which case we'll have to wait for dcraw support.

I have been having some similar problems  (sharpness and noise as well as color) with Nikon D500 NEF (raw) images (lossless compressed) but only at higher ISO values, but note that D500 is not yet in the DCRAW list.  Also, after some experimenting, have been able to compensate by tweaking raw option settings with respect to noise, sharpening and some additional raw refine WB.  Once DCRAW is updated for the D500, I will go back and start again with the default settings - which work well for my other cameras.

Mike,

I am traveling for the next couple of weeks so replying will be hit or miss.
1. The latest 2016.166.
2. Breeze Browser Pro has no issues displaying my uncompressed arw. Same with Acdsee - I believe they use use dcRaw.
3. Camera name is ilce-7rm2 - when I use Downloader Pro from Breeze Systems I create files names like 20160621_1949_ilce-7rm2_img_01496.arw

Right now my guess is that the Qimage/dcRaw combo is unhappy with uncompressed arw. Let me know how to get you some test images.
Attached is a screen shot showing the issue. I did View, Rebuild Thumbs and the image is correct until the Raw cache finishing rebuilding.

http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/sony-a7r-ii/A7R2FAR2I1600.ARW.HTM shows with the correct colors in Qimage.
Downloaded it is ~42.5 MB vs 83.6 MB for my uncompressed arw. Size matches http://briansmith.com/sony-a7rii-uncompressed-raw-file-size-software-support/
This post used dcRaw to process both arw formats - forum.luminous-landscape.com/index.php?topic=105603.0

At work I am known as the person who finds the 6 Sigma outliers - 6 Sigma is 99.9999% reliable but someone has to make things fail the other 00.0001% of the time. I have been a very satisfied user since 2005 and this is the only wart I have found.

?? there's no such version!
The screen shots show you are using V 2016.146 and there is an upgrade available to V 2016.155 (the latest).
It looks like you have not upgraded to the latest version.

Terry is correct.  The 2016.146 that you are running is using an old version of dcraw that doesn't support the A7RII.  The latest 2016.155 does.
