Strange behavior with multple images on a page

I just noticed this funny behavior, and maybe I'm missing something, but when I put three images on a page, I can adjust each independently unless one image overlaps another, in which case adjustments to size/position affect all the images that are overlapped.
Example: I place 3 images on the page (snap 1). I move the image in the upper right into the middle of the page, underlapping the other two images (Snap 2). I re-move the same image, and the other two images go along for the ride (Snap 3). I resize the image and the other two shift positions (Snap 4). This happens even when Freehand placement is selected and also on the "Edit Page" screen. It does seem that it only applies to overlapping images that are placed in the queue after the image being manipulated. Is this a bug or is there some logic behind this behavior?

I have just run the gamut of images ovetrlapping and being sized etc.
There is no problem.
BUT!
To be honest, I had to force myself to learn to "SELECT" the image I want to move or resize.
If you select the one you want it will move independently and size independently.
It was tricky to remember to do this in the beginning.
If one image is laying on one below, and you select and drag the lower one, they both move...
If you want to move just the top one, select it.

Try it.

055 the top image is selected
056 The Peacock is selected
057 the Woman at the river is selected

That's what I'm seeing too, and it only applies when images are overlapping. What if you only want to move the lower image?

Easy!
Just like a tablecloth with a centerpiece and dishes on top.
You pull the tablecloth to the position you want, and then select the centerpiece to re- position it. If you have a third item, select it and put it where you wish.
Always remember, if this layout is one you use frequently, Create it with templates, and Save as a layout for future recall.
You could save it as is as a JOB, and just replace the images as needed after recall.
